Contact the Spokane Conservation District for details on four days of Horses for Clean Water education. On Saturday in Elk, WA and Sunday in Fairfield, WA from 9am to 4pm, join us for workshops on land management practices for horse and livestock owners. Learn ways to make your facilities chore-efficient with less mud and manure while protecting the environment. Topics to be covered include composting and manure management, rotational grazing and pasture management, mud and drainage ideas, paddock design and management, chemical use reduction and more. Monday and Tuesday are available for free on-farm site visits with landowners to help with mud, manure and pasture management assessment. FREE – bag lunches available for $5.
